Do you want to discuss the ethical aspects of the relationship between the doctors and drug poducers?
We have prepared a series of seminars for you that covers the topics of drug research and development in its whole complexity, specifically from the initial phase of drug research, through the process of successful registration, pricing strategies, and reimbursements from the public health insurance funds, up to the regulation of cooperation between doctors and manufacturers of drugs. You can find the course in SIS named World of Farmaceutical Industry (2 credits).
The goals of the course is to contribute to better awareness of Charles University students about the principles of research, development, production, and distribution of pharmaceutical products, and to increase their interest in the pharmaceutical field and opportunities within it. The course is open to ALL students of Charles University across majors and departments.
At this course, there is a great emphasis on the questions and open discussions.
The course supervisor is the rector of Charles University and the head of the Institute of Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Diagnostics, prof. MUDr. Tomáš Zima, DrSc., MBA.

The assessments conditions are a). Min. 80% of participation on the seminars and b). written feedback on the content, clarity, and personal profit from the seminars (via email)

The seminars will take place every Tuesday, starting from 6. 4. 2021, from 14:30 up to 15:45 in the premises of Campus Hybernska (Hybernská 4, Praha 1). The exact auditorium will be announced later.
