The project Implementation of Regional Action Plans II (IKAP II) is realised by the Prague City Hall and is under the Faculty of Education at Charles University. One of the project sub-activities at Charles University is "Entrepreneurship", which is undertaken by the Innovation Laboratory of the Charles University under the Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer of the Charles University. The aim of the sub-activity is to provide primary and secondary school teachers with examples of good practice in supporting young innovators: pupils who have the desire, will and skills to take an active approach to solving the problems around them.
KA6.3 Entrepreneurship
Implementer: the Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer of Charles University
Aim of the activity: to provide primary and secondary school teachers with examples of good practice in supporting young innovators: pupils who have the desire, will and skills to take an active approach to solving the problems around them.
Fulfilling the goal: Teachers often have no direct experience in starting projects (whether entrepreneurship or social innovation), yet they have to deal with this extremely demanding topic in their subjects (social sciences, economics, etc.). The aim of the activity is to provide inspiration on how to talk about such topics with students, how to inspire them, what to offer them. The output will be practical tips through expert podcasts and workshops. Sustainability will be ensured by involving future teachers studying at the Faculty of Education. A quality podcast script is essential for the success of this activity. We are very aware that educators are already fully occupied with both professional and administrative activities, so the podcasts will be designed to both save educators time with lesson preparation and at the same time help to teach key competencies to students. Due to the fact that we (CPPT) have many years of experience in teaching entrepreneurship at Charles University, we have plenty of contacts with practitioners, both from the commercial and educational sectors. UK students will also help with the preparation of the podcasts, which will enable them to develop the experience gained in their future practice in primary and secondary schools.
