At the Charles University Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer (CPPT UK), we support students and researchers in protecting and utilising their scientific results effectively in practice.
Yesterday, our director, Mgr. Ivo Svejkovský, MBA, Ph.D., and patent specialist Ing. Nikola Minks held a lecture for doctoral students at the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Hradec Králové on the topic of 'Principles and Rules of Intellectual Property in Science and Biomedical Research'.We explained to the students the advantages and pitfalls of protecting and commercialising scientific research results.
CPPT UK provides services to faculties and researchers at Charles University, and this lecture is one of the proof points of how we promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and facilitate the transfer of knowledge from academia to practice.
If you are interested in having such a lecture at your faculty, please email us at cppt@ruk.cuni.cz.
We would like to thank Lucie Bartošová, PhD, from the Centre for Biomedical Technology Transfer at the University Hospital in Hradec Králové, and Milan Kaška, PhD, the guarantor of the course, for inviting us to the Faculty of Medicine at Charles University.
We look forward to more inspiring meetings with academic teams across the university!
